Pre-labour...

SUCKS.
Yes, pre-labour sucks.
You know how I know?
Because it's happening :(

**warning: beware of TMI below**

Yesterday was a crap day.
Because the night before was a crap night.
Went to bed about 10plus.
Couldn't sleep right away so was reading/stalking forum boards on WTE and BabyCentre on my phone.
Between 10 to 12.30, got up 5 times to pee.
Like really pee... not just droplets.
Where the hell all that pee come from I also dunno.
Then at 1am, had to poop.
Like huh?
Who poops at 1am in the morning?
Me apparently, in my full 38-weeks pregnant glory.
Finished pooping, tried to sleep.
Uncomfortable to say the least.
Cramping like crazy.
Then had a contraction.
A painful one, so not just BH.
But quite mild and bearable really.
But then again, I have a high tolerance for pain,
trained from many many many years of excruciating painful periods that only prescription medicine can ease.
But yes, I digress.
I was like, meh... just a fluke.
Tried to sleep.
Another one.
Looked at the time on my phone,
30 minutes from the previous one.
Then had a couple more,
around 30-20 minutes apart.
Bleah.
Long long time to go, so tried to sleep.
Every time another one came,
I got woken up.
It's not BH because I usually just sleep through those.
They gradually became 10-15 minutes apart,
but not increasing in intensity.
So no sleep whatsoever.
By 4.30 in the morning,
all of a sudden,
nothing.
Nothing else was happening.
No more contractions.
WTH.
All that trouble for nothing?
Finally managed to fall asleep around 5am.
By then I was exhausted and tired and achy and my hips were killing me and the bed was not comfortable no matter what position I was in.
6am, baby's alarm rang and that was it for me.
Decided to get out of bed,
take a shower (for some reason it was a hot hot night and I was sweaty),
and continue my bid for sleep on the couch.
And there I stayed for the rest of the day until baby came home from work around 4pm.
Crappy day.

Oh and whoever said you can rest in between contractions, was LYING.
In between contractions, all you have is the cramping.
Like bad period pains.
Not like x10 or anything,
it's just there and annoying.
Well, at least for me la.
Only thing I'm thankful for is that my lifelong experience (not that long, but still lifelong) with the bad period pains have trained me to disregard the pain whenever I can.
Just deal with it, you know?

And just in case you're wondering,
nothing else has been happening.
Na-da.
Zilch.
Zero.
Besides the annoying BHs that I'm still getting ever so often.

Doesn't help that this can go on and on for days and weeks without anything else happening.
Sucks.

On the brighter side,
at least I know my body is getting ready.
After all,
we are due next Sunday.
WHAT?!?!
It's scarier when I say next Sunday eh?
Instead of 2 weeks.
Haha!
But, like Dr R said,
it could be at 42 weeks too.
So, I could potentially be in pre-labour for another 3-4 weeks.
NOT FUN.
We've got everything crossed, hoping that's not the case and that real labour is close.

oh and choc chip cookies that I baked on Monday :)

Yum yum :)
And I used dark choc chips instead of milk choc,
so I can fool myself into thinking I'm being healthy :p
