So.
I had a feeling. And my feeling was right. This is it. Here we go on the rollercoaster ride again. And I cannot even express adequately in words how excited and overjoyed I am right now.
Yesterday, at 10DPO, I woke up in the middle of the night (well, ok it was 4am) needing to pee. So not wanting to waste my first pee of the day, I did a test. I did it knowing full well that it is probably still too early to tell since my period is not due for another 4 days or so. But I was still a little hopeful. And then my hope disappeared when 1 minute later, after washing my hands and stuff, there was only 1 control line. No positive line. So I just left it on the counter (wrapped in toilet paper of course) and went back to sleep. Silly of course, since the instructions said to wait 5 minutes and to not read the test strip after 5 minutes. Woke up later in the morning and was about to throw it away when I saw the second line. Super faint. SUPER FAINT. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. So I threw it away anyway, knowing that I can't trust what I see after so many hours. But I still told Jude, saying that there's no guarantees of course. And he said "But there's no guarantees until baby is born right?" LOL. Men. And he of course was happy too, just a little bit reserved to protect his feelings just in case it really was too early.
This morning, I did another test after waking up. It's 11DPO and it should be pretty reliable now, considering I got a massive big fat positive on 12DPO with X the last time. And this is what I got. Within 3 minutes.
So.
I think this is it!
If this little one sticks around, we'll be expecting an EDD of 16 March 2013, which would make X about 27 months old by then. Close enough to perfect for the 2-year age gap I had in mind.
According to the chinese gender prediction charts, this baby would be a girl. It was accurate with X, so we'll see if we have an Everett or Evie on board. I still think boy. But who knows?
Okay. Deep breaths. I'M PREGNANT!
