It's the last day of winter today, officially.
Officially, Spring starts tomorrow.
Doesn't feel like it, but I can't wait for the weather to warm up just a little.
Just enough for me to not have to struggle with bulky winter jackets that I can't even button up anymore.
How nice would that be? :)
As much as I'm enjoying being pregnant and having my little Xander baby in my belly,
right now,
at this very moment in time,
I just want December to roll around.
I just wanna meet my son.
I just wanna be able to share the loveliness of having him with husband,
so he won't feel so left out anymore.
He must be getting so frustrated with hearing me talk about Xander and the antics he gets up to in my belly, but not actually knowing how it feels like,
or ever being able to experience it first-hand.
Makes me sad and although it's nature's way,
I wish he had a chance to experience this magic personally, not just as a spectator.
Once Xander baby arrives, he'll have that chance.
And I can't wait :)
We are 26 weeks (and 2 days) now, officially.
Officially, we're into our last and final trimester this Sunday at 27 weeks.
How time flies...
Sometimes it feels like it's just round the corner,
other times it feels like forever and an eternity.
Someone at work just came and asked me when I'm going on leave.
And I looked at the calendar.
7 more weeks to go.
Just 7 more weeks to go at work.
Wow.
That's all?!?!
But yes, this baby is coming soon and he's not waiting around for much longer.
I just realised - OMG! Look at the little ticker I have on the right side of my blog!
99 days?!?!
We're into the double digits :D
I remember when it read 252 days or something like that.
We have come far baby, we have come very far...

Just as well then,
cos this past week,
Xander baby has discovered a new trick for the baby gym (a.k.a. Mummy's belly).
It's the stick-my-foot-into-mummy's-ribs-and-wriggle-it-all-around trick.
You can sing the hokey-pokey if you like.
He seems to enjoy that immensely.
Especially when I'm trying to get work done in the day,
and even more so when I'm trying to get some sleep in the night.
On top of that,
he's developed some wonderful motor skills
and discovered he can actually move around
and make space in those tight quarters with his knees and elbows.
Yay for him, boo for me.
One word: OUCH.
Husband finds it endlessly entertaining and amusing though,
to sit on the couch
and watch my belly wriggle like an alien is about to find its way out through my belly button.
To watch it jump and wobble.
To see something pop up and move across my belly,
wondering what the hell is that?
Then the alien ceases his attempts to escape,
and the daddy attempts to get him trying again.
We have discovered that poking him, nudging him, jiggling my giant belly or just some words of encouragement can get him going again.
The wonders of pregnancy :)
I have 26-week belly pictures and pictures of what we purchased at the baby market this past sunday,
and I'll post them when I can find the motivation to at home :)
Random,
but I miss my sisters and my brother and my mummy and my cousins and my besties.
I wish they could experience this magic with me too.
It's been 6 months since I last saw most of them...
I wish I had a window through space and time to see what is happening in their lives. But life is good.
Despite all that's not so good,
Life is really good :)
Random again,
but we're watching the National Day Rally 2010 speech by PM Lee on Youtube.
And can I just say how proud I am to be a Singaporean?
Nevermind that most Singaporeans don't appreciate what they have,
I do.
And even my Malaysian husband does.
Singapore will always be home for me,
and with some luck and patience, it will be again, one day.
For me, my son and my husband.
Comparing our govt to the one here that is still sitting as a hung parliament after the previous weekend's federal elections, Singapore rocks.
You have to appreciate an honest, open and forward-thinking government with a foresight for everything after seeing what other countries have - a poor excuse for a government.
Like I told husband last night when watching the videos,
gotta love politicians who speak straight to the point, who show genuine concern for the people and the country, who answer questions and deal with important issues swiftly and honestly.
The rally speech was public speaking at its best, on behalf of one of the most respected governments in the world.
I am a proud Singaporean, and always will be :)
Wake me up, when September ends..............
