Just had a super busy weekend,
and I'm tired out of my mind.
Ex-colleagues from Hobsons are leaving and I had a catch up with some of them on Friday night for dinner,
and then again at a pot-luck party at Stev's house.
Stev's party had a hippie theme.
So guess what?
Cue wardrobe panic again.
Wanted to wear my long colourful skirt, the lovely pink and green and blue one,
but it refused to even come close to zipping up at my hips, under the baby bump mind you.
Same story with the red one :(
In the end, settled for the brown one, and only reason why it could fit was cos it had a stretchy waist bad.
Phew.
Paired with a plain black tank top and my cool "gold" studded vest from Forever21,
I think I was okay :)
Baby even brought me out to the shopping centre on Saturday and let me buy some dangly earrings and clangy bracelets :)
I was Earth Mother for the day ;)
(Pictures coming up soon! These will be my 29 week photos too...)
I've missed the folks from Hobsons so it was nice to catch up...
I don't miss the work, but I sure miss the people :(
Guess we can't have the best of both world eh?
Last night was bliss :)
After spending the earlier part of the evening cooking dinner and today's lunch,
and then spending another hour or so on my feet, ironing baby's work shirts and pants,
I spent the rest of the evening curled up on the sofa and being pampered :)
We bought durian (the frozen kind but still yummy; beggars can't be choosers right?) on Saturday because I was craving some,
and baby fed me durian patiently and dutifully,
so that I wouldn't get my hands smelly.
He fed me all the soft creamy parts and took on the hard bits that I don't like.
He's the best :)
Random fact:
I love how baby's shirts smell after I iron them.
And I love how he looks all neat and smart and tidy when he wears them.
Especially when I know I've ironed them :)
And I love how he smells like freshly ironed shirts when he hugs me close,
even at the end of the work day.
I love :)

I can't believe we're 29 weeks already.
Only 11 more weeks to go,
and only 5 more weeks at work :)
We still have a bit of preparations left on our to-do list before Xander baby arrives,
but I think we still have time.
We do, right?!?!
I'm hoping to get much of it done when I go on leave...
Hopefully I won't be too huge and immobile by then.
Hey there little one,
Mummy has just one message for you.
GET AWAY FROM MY RIBS!!!
Every time I try to sleep at night,
I jump awake in pain from you punching or headbutting my ribs.
AND IT HURTS!!!
Sorry son, but as much as I love you, you gotta stop it!
Go play with something else in there, whatever it is.
Now that I've made that clear (not that you'll really understand anyway),
know that I love you :)
And Daddy too...
He calls you "baby boy" and says "I love you" while rubbing my belly (a.k.a. you).
He falls asleep at night with his hand splayed across my belly,
comforted by your squirming and wriggling,
knowing you're safe and sound in there.
He walks around with a picture of your 3D ultrasound in his phone,
the one where we can all see your little adorable face,
and shows it off to his friends and colleagues :)
He really does love you...
And I have a print out of the same picture stuck on my computer at work,
so I can stare at it all day.
I really do love you too :)
And you know what?
Your grandparents and great grandparents all love you too :)
Everyone loves you!
So behave and be good, cos they so happen to love Mummy too ;)
