Chanced upon this website - http://projectnursery.com/... the gallery features some really really lovely nurseries and it's filling me with wonderful ideas about how I would like our little one's nursery to look like.
What a lovely thought isn't it?
Nevermind the fact that we would probably still be renting then and will not be able to paint or wallpaper the room... we'll make do with decorating with suitable pieces of furniture and other stuff. I refuse to dwell on the negative, on the fact that we can't nicely do up our little one's nursery when the time comes. The time will come when the time is right. I'll keep telling myself that. In the meantime, I'll dream :)
I am leaning more towards warm contemporary design cues. Think pale apple green and touches of rose pink if we have a little girl and touches of earthy browns if we have a little boy. Soothing to the senses and hopefully that will bring about a calm and soothed baby. Of course the images in my head will most definitely change as the time goes on, but I kinda like what's in there now :)
Isn't this absolute gorgeous? One look at it and I've fallen in love. Not good for a rented place nor can one on a budget work in the divine cot, but dreams can come true some times no? Gorgeous!!!
Tranquil, peace, calm. Perfect environment to soothe and feed fretful baby don't you think? Heart melts just looking at the little bassinet with teddy sitting in it...
Some how I have this image of me going through the nesting phase, and during that phase, I'll be dressed in pregnant overalls and painting my little one's room, stenciling, wall-papering... Wow. Intense.
And this... sweet little green and pink vintage design. Not sure about the little stoves for infants, but definitely can do for toddlers :)
Or this... attic rooms with sloping ceilings always make me gasp with wonder. I love it! Maybe with less frills and a cot instead of a bed for new baby, but still lovely isn't it?
The idea of creating a nest for baby to grow and be nurtured in is so damn awe-inspiring...
